Every Saturday, Sunday and Monday I will attempt to find the absolute best deals I can on things that you can get for super cheap and/or free! You're welcome!
I dipped my toes out of my comfort zone a bit this weekend and decided to explore a few other stores and test their coupon policies. I've done CVS before, but never with much luck. I didn't really "get" the whole Extra Care Bucks (ECB) thing until yesterday. ECB is the advertised "cash back" type deals at CVS. You buy a certain product, or certain amount of product and earn money back to use towards the store (kind of like a giftcard, but it prints on your receipt). But when I was browsing through the inserts there was a deal too sweet to pass up.
Shampoo and conditioner. 2/$7. Seems like an OKAY deal on the surface, but when you pair it with the ECB deal that's going on for P&G products, it's pretty awesome. Spend $20 on P&G products and get $5 ECB. Spend $30 and get $10. Pantene is a P&G product and just happened to have a B1G1 coupon out in the coupon insert from 7/7. Oh, and there's a coupon off on coupons.com for $2/2, which can be used too.
So here's what you do to get all this for less than $8 AND get $10 ECB back!
Clip 4 B1G1 free Pantene coupons from Sundays (7/7) paper.
Print 2 $2/2 off Pantene coupons from coupons.com
Clip 3 20 cent Dawn coupons from Sundays (7/7) paper.
Buy 4 Pantene shampoos and 4 Pantene conditioners and 3 Dawn dish detergents (on sale for 97 cents!). Your total should amount should be around $7.38 then your receipt will print off a $10 ECB! You basically just got paid $3 to $40+ in product! In my first attempt (pictured above) I only bought 2 Dawn dish detergents because I thought that would knock the total to $30. It didn't and only $5 ECB printed, so I bought another thing of detergent and used my CVS card and got the other $5 back! You MUST have a CVS card to get this deal with the ECB back.
Retail value $43.90, with coupons $7.38 plus $10 ECB back.
Wegmans deals:
I love Wegmans. I mainly went there because I heard they had my favorite wine on sale, but checked up on their coupon policy before heading out. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they doubled coupons valued under 99 cents!
Some of the best deals I found were these:
Barilla Pasta: Retails for $1.29, had 3 $0.75/2 coupon found on coupons.com, so I spent 54 cents per box of pasta.
Colgate toothpaste: Retails for $2.99, on sale for $2.29. I had a 75 cent off coupon which doubled, making the toothpaste only $0.79!
St Ives face wash: Retails for $3.29. Had a 75 cent off coupon which doubled, making this only $1.79, which is a bit of a splurge for me, but I needed face wash.
Go-Go Sqeez: Retails for $2.49. Their Facebook page has a $0.90 coupon if you share their page, which doubled making these only $0.69 each! Little S is obsessed with these. I need to go get more.
Wegmans Organic Jam: Retails for $2.99. Their website has a direct link to a $2 off coupon, making the jam only 99 cents!
Snikiddy Snacks: Retails for $2.50, on sale for $2. Their website has a 75 cent off coupon, which doubled making these only 50 cents. Never had them before, but I figured for 50 cents I'll let Little S try them.
Retail Value $31.07, with coupons spend $10.48
If you have any questions please leave them on my blog and I'll do my best to get back to them ASAP.
